School Overview

Salawag National High School (SNHS) had its first operation on June

School Year (S.Y) 2017 - 2018. SNHS implements the K to 12 Basic Education

Curriculum. The institution under the supervision of City School Division of

Dasmariñas adheres to the grading and ranking procedures based on DepEd Order

no. 8 s. 2015 “Policy Guidelines on Classroom Assessment for the K to 12 Basic

Education Program”. It started with fifty-five (55) faculty members and with 1,826

Junior High School (JHS) enrolees. On the following School Year 2018-2019, there

are sixty-nine (69) faculty members with 2,551 JHS enrolees. With its growing

population this S.Y. 2019-2020, there are seventy-seven (77) faculty members that

cater 2,845 enrolees. The principal, being the school head of the school supervises

the Learning Area Coordinators, teachers, and non-teaching staff, influences

organizational practices, policies, and directions.

Spanning of 2,400 sq. m., Salawag National High School is located in a

residential community at Thailand Street San Marino City Subdivision, Barangay

Salawag, City of Dasmariñas, Cavite. It has a single four-level building with six (6)

rooms each floor with two shifts of classes in SY 2017-2018, then became three

shifts of classes in the succeeding year. Based on zoning classifications, students

who live within Barangay Salawag will be accommodated by the school. The

potential Grade 7 enrolees are from Salawag Elementary School and Pintong Gubat

Elementary School. SNHS is situated in an urban area of Barangay Salawag, with

plain geographical site condition. From Salawag proper to the school, jeeps and

tricycles are the modes of transportation in going from home to school and vice

versa.
